Introduction to Holidays in Komandoo
Komandoo is a small, heavenly island, only 500m in length and 100m wide which is surrounded by a beautiful lagoon and white sandy beaches. Komandoo boasts a wonderful house reef offering fantastic snorkeling opportunities. For divers, there are numerous dive sites, around 50 within easy access, 15 of those being accessible within 15 minutes of the island.
The island is an adult only retreat, with no scheduled entertainment so perfect for those seeking a peaceful and private resort with uninterrupted escapism.
Komandoo is located in the Lhaviyani Atoll, 80 miles north of the capital Malé and its international airport. A seaplane is required to reach the Island which offers incredible views of the atolls, a journey of about 40 minutes from Malé

The best time to visit Komandoo Island Resort is from December to April when the island is at its driest. The temperature and climate make Komandoo an ideal destination for snorkeling and diving.
The average daily temperature ranges from 25ºC to 30ºC and it is generally warm and humid with gentle sea breeze. The calmest seas and bluest skies are generally around April, while the roughest seas are in June and October with water temperatures ranging from 25ºC to 30ºC throughout the year.
