Location

Sinai Blues diving and water sports centre is located on the beach of the Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh, just metres away from the Red Sea.

The Diving

Your first dive with Sinai Blues will be a house reef dive touring the highlights of the site, just offshore from the Four Seasons Sharm el Sheikh.

Following the first dive your instructor will advise you on which trips they think will be most suitable for you to embark on next. With Sinai Blues' flexible departure times, small group sizes and speed boats, you'll avoid the crowds and enjoy Red Sea diving at its best.

Sinai Blues' speed boats or RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats) depart directly from the the Four Seasons Sharm el Sheikh.  Each trip will begin with a briefing by your instructor at the centre before departure. Boarding the boat, you will find all your equipment already prepared and loaded, and it’s then just a short ride to the dive site where you will complete one dive before returning to the hotel.

A local RIB dive takes you 5 minutes along the coast to some of Sharm el Sheikh’s northern dive sites such as Ras Bob, Ras Nasrani and Ras Gamilla.  These sites are famous for their incredible hard corals - some of the biggest formations in the world!  Medium levels of current make them spectacular but relaxed drift dives. Sinai Blues speed boats also visit the Straits of Tiran, where competent divers can experience some of the best diving the Red Sea has to offer.

Sinai Blues also has two large and comfortable motor yachts offering half and full day trips. M.Y. Virginia is 26m long with 2 large sunbathing decks,  shaded top deck, spacious air conditioned interior saloon and 2 fully fitted bathrooms. Virginia comfortably accommodates 22 passengers.

M.Y. Waver is 17m long with 2 sunbathing decks, shaded upper deck, interior saloon and a fully fitted bathroom and comfortably accommodates 12 passengers.  These boats are ideal for combining both diving and snorkelling trips and are also fantastic for younger passengers.

Half day boat trips take both divers and snorkelers to the uninhabited island of Tiran. Sinai Blues are the only dive centre allowed to visit this beautiful spot, where they moor in a sheltered bay to enjoy the stunning unspoilt marine life. It’s an hour’s leisurely cruise to reach the island, and on the journey home keep a look out for some of the Red Sea’s numerous species of dolphins, who regularly visit this area.

Both boats make full day trips to Ras Mohammed, enabling divers and snorkelers to make the most of this renowned underwater wonder. After a 90 minute cruise to reach the park, you'll enjoy 2 dives taking in some of the best sites the park has to offer. During summer a third optional dive is offer at the beautiful Ras Umm Sid dive site.

Sinai Blues can also organise night dives on the house reef to have a look at the weird and wonderful creatures that come out at night.

Those interested in wreck diving will undoubtedly have heard of the infamous Thistlegorm shipwreck.  Not for the faint hearted, the Thistlegorm is a 4 hour sail from the hotel and requires a 4am start!  Sinai Blues need a minimum of 8 passengers to run this trip, though they can organize for you to go with another dive centre if this is a must on your Red Sea itinerary. Alternatively, the wreck of the Dunraven is a 3 hour sail from the hotel and can be combined with a trip to the Ras Mohammed National Park.

In order to make the most of the incredible diving on offer, many people choose to do two or even three dives per day. A third dive is a mere US$30 supplement.
